When we started Wobbles back in March of 2013, I never imagined the amount of work and time we’d be dedicating ourselves to this project. What I once thought of as a small little project with a few friends from college has turned into a full production over the summer. Where we stand now is a perfect spot to call “beta.”
For many developers and companies, beta means a few different things. A lot of people like to consider a product always in beta until it’s released, while others feel that a product is only in beta when it’s feature complete, or has all the core mechanics, systems, etc. in place. At the point in our development, our “beta” refers to us being feature complete. After many months of development and putting in core features and systems we are happy with what we have and are actively testing everything we have with our co-workers, friends, family and a few remote testers.
What does this mean for you though?
To keep things short, it means Wobbles is almost done and ready to be released for you to play! Being in beta means all we have left to do is polish things up, add some more assets and fix bugs.
Want to help beta test Wobbles?
As we move towards our launch date, we want Wobbles to be as polished of an experience as we can make it. If you’d like to help out, preview Wobbles, and give us feedback be sure to let us know and send me an email at nick@playnimbus.com.
Everyone on the team is just as excited to be releasing our first shipped game as a studio and can’t wait to share the rest with you in later this summer!
